Yesterday, my friend S sent me his review after testing out the Arbonne RE9 for Men products:
I am writing to you about the Men’s product samples you gave me. Overall, they are fantastic and outstanding. You can see the difference in the first time use.
1. Exfoliating Wash – The label says use before shaving. But I know everyday exfoliation is not good, and I shave every day. I think this is good for weekly once or twice use. It does a great job.
2. Shaving Gel – I was a little skeptical when I saw there was less foam when I lathered. But I was mistaken. After a few glides with the razor, I saw my face smooth, nice and soft.
3. After Shave Balm – I never used commercial after shave lotions, because they sting. And this was very different. I was expecting it to cool down the skin like menthol. On the other hand it did a better job. It relaxed the skin and made it more supple.
4. Moisturizer – I use moisturizer everyday and mine is 15% SPF. This being 20% SPF is an added benefit. And this is not greasy at all and is absorbed quickly. It feels very light. I was able to feel the difference after a couple of uses. It’s a wonderful moisturizer and is great for everyday use. I also found out that you don’t have to use it always with the exfoliating wash or after shave balm. It works great even when used alone.
In all, I was able to see a difference in 2 days. Really.
I am not sure if I have to use all these 4 products together all the time. Will just the balm and moisturizer do the job? I will find out with the little of what is left over.
Let me finish this line of products. I will then start with the women’s products you gave me. I thought of using them together. But I was afraid of some skin reaction
Also, using them separately will help me review them individually.
Honestly, I use the same SPF moisturizer before going to bed. I was looking to replace this with something else. Once I am finished with the samples, let me know the prices of all the products and I will decide which one I want to buy.
Feel free to post them.
Let me go through the products and decide.
Thank you for introducing me to Arbonne.

Special thanks to S for trying these out. I gave him samples to try because I wanted an unbiased opinion from someone who hasn’t heard of the products yet.

After alternating the RE9 Advanced Face set with the FC5 N/D set, I opted to go for something else. In the past years, I have been getting more and more age spots/freckles on my face. I’ve tried using hydroquinone-based products but have not been successful. After using hydroquinone-based products for a month, I experienced some side effects: mild burning, drying, and redness.
I switched to a combination of the following (descriptions from their website), after four weeks of use:

I noticed my age spots fading after a week, and it’s gotten even better lately. I am now torn between switching products because my one-month-cycle is coming up. Oy. Decisions, decisions.
Reminder: Make sure you know what you are allergic to, check the ingredients, perform allergy patch tests, and take the necessary precautions when testing new products.
